Year 4 Puffin and Warbler
Welcome to Year 4 Puffin and Warbler Classes!
This Year Group Page will share the fantastic learning we do in class.
Puffin's Class Teachers are Miss McGee and Ms Cullen.
Warbler's Class Teacher is Mr. Thomas.
We are supported by Mrs Cross, Mrs Ledsham and Ms Lawson.
September–December 2026
PE
- Our PE Day is on Thursday and will be taught by Mr Franco.
Please make sure your child has the correct PE uniform on this day. It will be both outdoor and indoor PE.
Outdoor Learning and Playtimes
- Please make sure your child has a raincoat and wellies in school everyday so they can participate in outdoor learning and playtimes.
- As it is still sunny, please can children have a sunhat as well.
Expected Homework
- 45 Games of TTRS weekly. (Paper Copies are available for children who cannot access TTRS) This homework will be set weekly and due on Monday.
Optional Homework
- Spellings – Children can use different activities from the spelling menu to practice their spelling words. These are sent out termly on Class Dojo.
- Reading for Pleasure – Celebrate the love of reading at home by logging your minutes that you have read on Track My Read. Any book, any type. - Pupil sign in | Track My Read

A Guide to Accelerated Reader, Please click the link: A Parent's Guide to Accelerated Reader (AR). Please note, if they are on the band 4.0 or above, the children have to complete five reads at that point before they move up to 4.1 and so on.
